Colorado Winter Adventure

Elopements / May 25, 2021

Cake & Lace immensely admires the works of VOWS AND PEAKS, and this is already the second time that we will feature this Colorado-based photographer on our blog! We gotta be honest – words alone can’t possibly capture the spirit of this stunningly masterful elopement. So without further ado, we present to you the Colorado Winter Adventure whose undeniable splendor promptly captured our hearts at the very first glance!

From the Photographer & Planner, VOWS AND PEAKS:

You don’t need to go far in Colorado to find America’s swiss alphs. The San Juan mountains are incredibly, especially in the winter where you feel like you’re in your very own snow globe. Jordan and Stephanie flew out from Chicago to explore this amazing area for their elopement. We started out with an epic first look followed by a shoe showing adventure and capped it off with an amazing sunset.

Summer is obviously the most popular season for elopers but winter makes for some breathtaking views and awesome adventures. Ouray in general was a big mining area and still have remnants of it’s gold rush right outside of town. Exploring this area in the winter really made for an awesome adventure and epic photos.

Exploring and showing off this area to two midwesterners was something I won’t forget!
