Ethereal Romantic Outdoor Garden Wedding Inspiration

Styled Shoots / March 7, 2017

from the photographer… “This romantic elopement editorial session set on the grounds of Portland’s Lewis and Clark College was meticulously styled and executed by Tristan Needham Designs and photographed as part of the Jeremy Chou Oregon Coast Workshop. This wooded campus, reminiscent of an old English garden estate, was the perfect backdrop to showcase a love story in true Pacific Northwest fashion (a bit of rain included). As we moved with our models around the peaceful reflecting pond and along moss-covered stone walls, we visually captured the unfolding story that Tristan had created for us: ‘Portland natives and alumni of Lewis and Clark College, Jillian and Brandon knew there was no other place to marry than their alma mater. Jillian, an art historian, and Brandon, a botanical artist, have lovingly infused their passion for each other and their careers into their elopement today.'”

“No detail was overlooked. Alexandra Grecco’s bridal skirt and top, as well as The Black Tux’s attire chosen for our groom, gave this young couple a look of minimal modern elegance. Cassandra Kennedy created a bridal hair and makeup look for our model that couldn’t have been more fitting and would leave any bride glowing with confidence. Flourish by Kay created a beautiful bouquet and florals that graced the furniture rentals provided by Something Borrowed PDX. The tiered cake by Wind Flower Cakes was as delicious as it was lovely. Susie Saltzman rings, Graceline Art’s invitation suite, taupe tapers provided by Creative Candles, and Tono and Co’s earth-toned ribbons put the finishing touches on our details. It was an absolute joy and honor to work with such a talented team of vendors, models, and instructors. As a photographer, the inspiration and excitement that came from this shoot is definitely a feeling I will carry with me for a long time to come. There will always be so much to learn, but I couldn’t have asked for a better experience as I begin my journey of incorporating film into my work.”

How gorgeous is this garden wedding?? We had a church wedding, but I’d probably go for this setup had we chosen to get married outdoors! So pretty!

Ah i just LOVE this shoot! It’s so similar to what i’m doing for my wedding in July. We are getting married in a very similar location and our florals and tablescape are almost identical!
