from the photographer… “My vision for this shoot started out with a very woodsy, bohemian vibe. I imagined beautiful florals and a soft, yet strong color palette. After bringing in Southern Magnolias for event planning and Hoop House Creative for videography, we chose to keep that vibe, but found an amazing location that was rich in architecture, yet still rustic enough to ground our boho theme. As designers, Southern Magnolias’ goal was to take a popular theme for weddings and create something a little different. By adding rich colors and an elegant touch, they were able to balance between mature, rich, elegance and fun. Whimsical bohemia was exactly what they were after. One of our favorite things about this collaboration was our teamwork. This shoot was originally fully outdoors, but with a sudden weather change (we’re talking thunderstorms with tornado warnings), we put all our heads together to relocate it into the onsite mansion. We moved fully furnished reception tables outside through narrow doors to make use of a five minute rain break, back and forth for an hour! We got the shots we needed and felt that the rain actually made the colors more vivid and beautiful. Hoop House Creative adjusted their style to fit the weather and it really shines through in the bohemian highlight film that they produced.”
“Our biggest advice for brides-to-be is to allow your day to be flexible. You have planned a beautiful day, curated a team of amazing vendors, and worked hard on all your awesome DIY’s – trust that no matter what happens, your day will be beautiful. At the end of the day you are no more married than if you were to have had the day you’d originally planned and we promise that it will still be perfect!”

Love the organic florals, the bride’s two piece wedding dress, and the mix matched chairs for the table setting. Absolutely beautiful!
