from the photographer… “After attending the Pittsburgh based Stylish Workshop several months prior, when the masterminds behind the workshop announced they would be holding a workshop in the late fall in Malibu, I knew it was the chance for me to soak up even more knowledge from these two brilliant women in the Pittsburgh wedding scene, Melissa of Devoted to You Events and Jenni of Jenni Grace Photography. This talented duo put together an inspiring workshop, sharing their years of combined experience to create an informative, empowering, fun experience. Inspired by the vibe of the Zuma Sanctuary, where the shoot took place, Melissa teamed up with some amazing California based vendors to create a bohemian, tribal inspired set up.”
“Beautiful dresses provided by the NEWhite were the perfect fit for the shoot, her pieces that included bridal separates allowed for mixing and matching, adding a soft lace top for beach portraits to soften up the look and add a more romantic feel. The florals from the Wild.Floral Co added the perfect pop of color and texture, especially against the industrial table, accented with a splash of pattern and colored glassware. In addition to the table, Nineteen27 Vintage provided a fun gold bar cart where the delicious desserts from Sugar Fairy Desserts were displayed. After shooting at the Zuma Sanctuary, the group headed to do portraits at El Matador Beach, contrasting the edgier afternoon shots at the sanctuary with softer portraits on the beach at sunset.”
