I hope you are ready for a gorgeous engagement session in Maui!
Kelli and Adam flew in for a work conference from Washington, and as they are planning a Maui wedding for late next year, decided that they would scope out some locations and get their engagement photos done while they are here. Blending a family is hard and that’s what these two hard working parents are doing! It was a nice getaway as between them they have 8 children! We arrived at Palauea Beach and I knew that Kelli was having a rough day with venue shopping! I told her not to worry and that her engagement session was going to be awesome! When they arrived, I had champagne glasses and champagne ready for them! Before you know it, the stress of that day was gone, and Kelli’s beautiful smile had returned! I seriously could have photographed them all day! Kelli and Adam didn’t need much guidance from me, as their love really took over! I felt like I was jut capturing them in their element! We had the most beautiful sunset Maui could have provided us, with black lava rocks to sit on! For the final photos, I had Adam come to me. I told him for this last shot, I wanted him to whisper in her ear why he chose her. Why he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
And I took a step back and documented the tears! While I have no idea what he told her, I could see in her face it was perfect! I reminded her that with this next year, wedding planning will get stressful. But I wanted her to remember these last few images and what Adam told her, and let that get her through the rough times always! I am so excited to document their wedding in Maui next year!
