from the photographer… “Inspired by the history of Historic Rural Hill in Huntersville, North Carolina, Lauren of Elle M Events designed a “modern vintage” themed photo shoot. Wanting to make use of the beautiful property, the ceremony and reception areas were styled outdoors under the age-old trees in front of the historic white farm house. Texture was a big factor when determining the design – incorporating the natural wood with lace, sequins, fine china, florals and succulents to bring it all together. You’ll find age in the fine bone china and depression glass place settings, along with all of the furniture used. The painted floral cake was inspired by one of the vintage plates used in the table setting. Keeping with the budding spring and summer blooms was the beautiful two-piece wedding gown that flowed with every step the model took. A form fitting lace bodice that lead down to an airy skirt gave the life to every photo taken of the couple.”
