This styled shoot exemplifies how a simple – yet beautiful – venue can be turned into a stunning showcase with a few additions that not only enhance, but complement the existing architecture of the space. To this brightly, naturally lit greenhouse building, intricate macramé pieces were added; the knots within a symbol of marriage and its intricacies. Lush tropical foliage, a perfect complement to any greenhouse, with pops of white blooms and hanging wisteria created dramatic focal points. Upon these larger installations, other décor pieces, chosen with simplicity in mind, were delicately layered. This included everything from the china and vintage furniture, to linens, chairs and stained glass feathers, alongside candy and desserts.
The bride’s dress, with its unique front slit, incorporated different lace patterns adding soft texture in contrast to the more visible details in the macramé. The softness of the look was further emphasized by simple, elegant jewellery pieces. The bridesmaid’s dress was unique in that leaves and greenery were incorporated in the bodice of the dress with a soft blush skirt to mirror the softness and simplicity of the bride’s dress. Carefully chosen menswear of tweed pants, crisp white shirts accented with suspenders and bowties created a look that complemented the bride, yet still made a statement on its own.
