from the photographer… “Paul and Kara met in their summer class while attending USI. Kara admits to sitting by him because she thought he was the cutest boy in class but not to close to be so obvious. Paul opened up conversation with Kara after class and shortly after the two started dating. When Paul decided it was time to propose, he surprised Kara by getting down on one knee downtown Evansville on the Riverfront. Paul had the help of a few friends arranging things and capturing the proposal on camera. Meanwhile, friends and family waited the announcement at a Cafe in Newburgh.”
“Paul and Kara had a gorgeous yet simple organic wedding on the outskirts of Evansville. The venue is a privately owned and the owner adores having small weddings there. With the help of friends, family and a flower farm, Kara was able to carry out her wedding plans in a gorgeous back yard setting. From old wooden doors as an entrance to the ceremony, old painted church pews and of course twinkle lights overlooking a reception area. These two love-birds wrote notes to each other before the ceremony. Paul and Kara had a very emotional ceremony. The two exchanged personally written vows, helped each other put together a wooden decor piece that was painted with scripture and shared many funny moments during the ceremony. For dinner, they ordered in pizza from Azzip served on recycled kraft plates. Their cake was an organic looking oreo cake topped with succulents instead of flowers. The danced under the sunset and the rest was history.”
