from the photographer… “Brik Venue was the perfect backdrop for this styled wedding inspiration. Its rustic yet modern appeal set off the sophisticated details of the shoot for a stunning dance between “luxe” and “relaxed.” The inside of the building gave us a moody, romantic space to photograph the head table, cake, and florals, while the outside opened up into a courtyard with contemporary appointments. We loved photographing the couple amidst the many textures such as the wood palette backdrop, the brick wall overgrown with ivy, and the lush greenery just across the street. The bride was styled in a beaded Simone Carvalli gown that hinted at an art deco feel. Her jewelry added a uniquely glamorous touch with sparkling jewels, geodes, and gold accents. We secured florals in her hair to keep her look soft and romantic. The groom dressed in a classic slim-fitting three piece suit with a coordinating floral boutonniere. Our vendors all pulled together and collaborated on a moody palette consisting of wine colors, neutral blushes, and of course copper accents. The overall vision was to create upscale elegance left slightly undone so that the romance could truly breathe. The lasting impression created by this wedding inspiration shoot was casual yet luxe sophistication, created by the lush, romantic colors and the worn yet timeless textures.
