from the photographer… “An American couple, Kristin and Tim, celebrated their engagement on April 9, 2016 at one of Italy’s most luxurious hotels. Il Salviatino, situated in the Tuscan hills overlooking Florence, is a one-of-a-kind property with as much character, charm and good taste as Italy itself. Kristin and Tim were visiting Italy in April in order to make arrangements for their upcoming wedding, and decided to spend the day strolling through Hotel Il Salviatino’s expansive gardens and historical indoor spaces, taking romantic pictures to capture their excitement and celebrate their love. Hotel Il Salviatino’s entire atmosphere inspires romance; the villa is a restored 15th century nestled in the Tuscan hills, just 15 minutes from Florence’s city centre in a region called Fiesole.”

“The couple married in September 2016, with a ceremony in a church on the outskirts of Florence, San Martino a Mensola. This beautifully constructed, small church full of Renaissance art was the site of a Roman era church; however, a church was reconstructed in the 9th century and again in the 15th century. Tim and Kristin’s wedding reception was held in Tuscany’s famous Castello di Vincigliata in September 2016 with a night that made guests feel as though they were invited to a medieval party. This venue is purely magic and has been host to many events since it was restored to its current state in 1840. The structure itself dates back to 1031 and has been home to so many social gatherings and celebrations of love over the years. Tim and Kristin’s reception paid lovely homage to the impressive castle, with hundreds of candles and chandeliers creating a romantic ambiance. The dinner was hosted in the castle’s all-glass room, with a ceiling dramatically draped with white curtains which perfectly contrast the castle’s stone walls. They topped off the dinner by cutting their traditional Italian wedding cake and toasting with prosecco. Kristin’s dress was perfection: a chic A-line silhouette with a lace sweetheart top that superbly complemented the ambiance and mood.”
