“Amber and Carlos are a sweet couple. They celebrate their love every day, but particularly on holidays. The pair are always leaving sweet notes for one another. This is no surprise given the way they got married five years ago.
Carlos proposed to Amber in the Winter. She said yes, and Carlos immediately began to discuss planning a New Years event. Amber agreed that given the fact they would have over a year to plan, this should be sufficient. To Amber’s surprise, Carlos meant the coming New Years, just a month away. She told him he was crazy.
Carlos accepted the challenge.
On New Year’s Eve, Carlos surprised Amber with a wedding. Among all of their friends and family, the two were wed. He had swept her off of her feet, bought her a sequin gown, and provided the ultimate gesture. He did what she thought could not be done, and what a beautiful beginning to their story it was!
But, wait, it gets better!
Five years have passed since Amber and Carlos were married. Since then, the two have chased their dreams together as well as a few little ones! While Amber is a full time wedding photographer, Carlos has recently joined the industry, too! The pair now own Raleigh’s first photo bus, The Lil’ Photo Bus Company. This gives them more opportunities to spend time together and to celebrate love. What a dream!
Flash forward to the weekend before Valentine’s Day. Amber had networked with all of her favorite vendors (“friendors!”) and created a surprise of her own. On February 10th, the two set out from Raleigh to Greensboro for what Carlos thought would be an intimate lunch. The two stopped by to visit a friend in town beforehand, upon which case Amber would exit the room. Leaving Carlos slightly confused, the photo and video team entered the room to begin capturing what would next unravel.
A card that read “my love” was handed to Carlos from one of the photographers. He was advised to read out loud, and as he did, the tears began to flow. Amber had repaid him the ultimate surprise. Later that day, she and Carlos would join together to renew their vows in front of family and friends.
The ceremony was candlelit, romantic, and intimate. Close family members and friends sat around them in gorgeous vintage pieces. Lanterns, copper accents, and lush florals covered the room. Drapery hung from the ceilings, handwritten signage adorned the tables, and a bar provided blush cocktails to all guests. A two piece acoustic band performed gorgeous renditions of Ed Sheeran and other artists as the two exchanged their vows. It was such a gorgeous affair from start to confetti filled end.”
