From the Director: “I am an entrepreneur/investor in the entertainment business, as well as a marketing and creative; my wife, an operations manager at our music studio (825 Studios) and VP at my record label, a sister label of Universal Music Group/Bungalo Records, called Premier Musique Group. We met in a plus-size Facebook chat group years ago, and decided to meet on Valentine’s day. We’ve been inseparable since.
Jessyca (my bride), not only coordinated the wedding top to bottom, but also assisted in helping the film/photo crew the day of the wedding. All of the photographers and videographers are employed by her! She was quite the treat 🙂 so I was told. But who wouldn’t be stressed right? To make matters more stressful in the preparation of the wedding, she was one of the songwriters for her own wedding day song, and she helped piece together the entire band, musicians and so forth. She is an incredible woman who wears many hats.
Our decoration inspiration behind the wedding, was centered around the color on her wedding band – Rose Gold. The flowers were grown, picked and decorated by her cousin, Paula Marie. Paula, is a stay-at-home mother who enjoys gardening and DIY projects. So naturally, we turned to her for the bouquet, corsages and boutonnière. Both the bouquet and boutonnière were decorated with family heirlooms from the early 1900’s from her late grandmother’s collection.
It was filmed at On Broadway KC in Kansas City, MO’s vibrant Crossroads community juxtaposed to downtown.
My favorite memory for the day was certainly getting married, but second behind that was getting a chance to see family that I had not seen in many years. We often get so busy with our day-to-day work life and tend to ignore those who are most important. So, it was great to see everyone come together.
My advice to other brides to be…do not allow yourself to be so stressed out about the controlling every aspect of your wedding. Yes, for most it is a one time event, and no one wants anything to go awry, but we have to learn to rely on others. Hire a strong team of well experienced people and provide a checklist of the do’s and don’ts so that your vision is maintained. Then you can relax and enjoy your special day!”
