We’re incredibly excited to share Lisa and Jason’s wedding with you! Talk about a fairytale; a classic, elegant navy and white ranch wedding with lots of natural elements.
The couple tied the knot at Ironestone Ranch, which was picture perfect. The ranch had donkeys that roamed the property, longhorns, horses and even a pig named Junior in a tuxedo.
The ceremony was held in a beautiful apple orchard, and Lisa and her father arrived in a horse-drawn carriage. The donkeys even decided to make an appearance during the ceremony!
After partying the night away under the market lights, Lisa and Jason were sent off in style with a huge sparkler send off! Such a beautiful wedding day with so many smiles, laughs and happy tears!
Below is a brief Q and A with the bride. Enjoy!
Q: What was the theme for your wedding ceremony and reception?
A: Simple elegance! We wanted to stick with classic looking décor. This way the wedding photos convey a beauty that stands the test of time.
Q: Please list your color palette.
A: Deep navy and white, with lots of natural greenery
Q: Please describe your wedding invitations.
A: Our invitations stuck to our theme – simple but elegant. They (in addition to all of our paper products) were made by my sister, Laura Kowalczyk. She made us an entire wedding suite – invitations, ceremony programs, escort cards, shuttle schedules, door hangers for hotel guests, etc. 🙂
Q: Describe how you found your wedding dress and where it was purchased.
A: I always envisioned an all lace wedding dress – although I hadn’t gone into any of my fittings thinking I’d fall in love with strapless! I went to stores in both PA and NC, and my first stop in NC was where I found it :). Throughout the rest of my appointments that day, it was the only dress I could think about. I went back later that day and placed the order immediately!
Q: Describe the ceremony and what made it special.
A: Everything about the day was so special and stepping out of the carriage with my dad was utterly surreal. I had the same goosebumps looking up and seeing Jason waiting for me at the end of the aisle as I used to get when we first started dating. It was perfect.
Q: How many guests did you have?
A: About 115
Q: Why did you choose this location?
A: Why would we NOT choose this location is the better question. The venue, the staff, the views, the picture-perfect scenery- everything was phenomenal.
Q: Describe your reception and what made it special.
A: Just like the ceremony, it was all just surreal. Being surrounded by all of our closest family and friends was an awesome feeling. The weather even held up until AFTER the sparkler exit!
Q: What was served for dinner?
A: The guests were served plated dinners and were given a choice in their RSVPs of Horseradish Crusted Roast Beef, Bruschetta Grilled Chicken, or Stuffed Shells.
Q: What was the cake flavor?
We had a small cake topper for us to cut and CUPCAKES! They were crowd-pleasers for sure, including Lemon Raspberry, Chocolate Covered Pretzel, Strawberry Shortcake and French Toast.
Q: What advice do you have for brides planning their wedding?
A: Best advice (that I tried my best to take) is to not sweat the small things, especially once your big day’s come. Just remember to try and take everything in, and get some time with just you and your new husband – it makes for some really special, and surreal, memories just the two of you will have forever.
Q: What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?
The whole day – I couldn’t have dreamed up anything better. Although I’m happy the stress is all is over, I would love to relive that day over and over.
