From the photographer: Two years. It had been almost two full years since we last photographed Jessica and Anthony’s engagement session. Newly engaged, and incredibly in love… we didn’t think it could get any better for these two. And then… their ceremony happened.
The moment they married their best friend.
As Jessica turned the corner, arm in her father’s, she began to descend the staircase. Her eyes peering down at Anthony. His heart pounded in his chest as he smiled up at her. The love of his life. His best friend.
His soon-to-be wife.
As the tears welled in his eyes, everyone knew in that moment. They knew that nowhere on this Earth was there another person that could have ever fulfilled Jessica and Anthony’s love story. No one on this Earth but one another. That these two had a love destined for each other. A love filled with laughter, memories, friendship, and trust.
A love that would last the test of time.
As they promised to love, honor, and feed one another chicken nuggets (yes- this is why we love our couples so much), Jordon and I made eye contact across there ceremony.
It is moments like these.
The moments when our couples are honest and true to who they are- when they are true to their love to one another- that we just know. We just know how strong and true their love is. The moments that we can feel the love that our couples share. It is the moments when they laugh all throughout their couples portraits together, the moments that they cry as they marry one another, and the way that they look at each other during their first dance. Those are the moments that we know that their love will last the test of time.
The moments that we are the most proud to be doing what we do.
Jessica and Anthony, your love and friendship is seriously so incredibly beautiful and inspiring. The whole day, all we heard was not only how incredibly gorgeous you two are, but also how amazing of people you are. From the moment that we took your engagement photos, we knew just how lucky we were to have known you, and to now say that we were the ones who photographed the day that you two began your legacy of love… well that feels like the biggest honor we could have ever asked for. We are truly so incredibly happy for you both, and we are so so thankful to have the two of you in our lives. Thank you for being not only an amazing #cooneycouple, but for becoming amazing friends as well.
Hugs and lots of love,
Shauna and Jordon
