From the Photographer:
I changed my mind a million times as to what I was going to “title” this styled elopement photoshoot. A few ideas included Fairytale Elopement Photoshoot, The Adventures of Abigail & Tyler: The Elopement (in a nod to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn), and I’m pretty sure I had a few other ideas rolling around in my head. But truly, I couldn’t ever decide, so I’m just going to let the photos speak for themselves.
But I will say, I had so much fun with this photoshoot. It’s so refreshing to get to do a photoshoot like this with a real couple- and one that’s adventurous as Abbey & Tyler…., it made for some absolutely amazing photos. We started the day getting the “sets” designed. We were kind of winging it as to where we’d be setting everything up. We knew that we were going to be around the Natural Waterslides at Ohiopyle State Park, but we didn’t have any exact plans other than that. We ended up with three main locations for the photoshoot- the elopement picnic location right next to the waterslides, an organic, make-shift wedding arch that we designed directly into the nature path, and a spot for the cake next to the Youghiogheny River.
We had two main “looks”- the wedding/elopement outfits, which were a little bit more “formal” (but also, so not formal at all….and had a very Mark Twain meets bohemian-esque feel to it.) And the second look was a cute post-elopement picnic outfit….after which, the couple jumped into the Youghiogheny river for some photos as well!
But seriously…just look at the photos- they’ll explain themselves better than I ever could!
From the Stationers:
Angie is always able to capture such a magic and vibrancy in the nature surrounding her subjects, we knew we wanted to do the same with the stationery for the shoot. We chose to focus on a couple bold hues of the color palette for a floral sketch and painting while pairing with some neutrals. We wanted to create a suite that would stand out and also seem right at home in the middle of the woodland magic.
