The wedding venue is a picture-perfect venue mixing a touch of history and colorful mural backdrops. For this fun-loving bride and groom, they’re keeping it simple yet memorable surrounded by their loved ones. From Mikkel Paige Photography: “Amanda and Alex were going to get married in Florida, for a destination wedding event. But when life had other plans for them they decided to get married closer to home in Raleigh, North Carolina. All Saints Chapel was the perfect venue for a touch of history and character and for a modest budget.
They didn’t have a wedding party – they simply opted to have Alex’s three daughters and Amanda’s three nephews walk down the aisle before them. Their fun-loving personalities meant they were game to walk around downtown, close to the venue, to take photos in front of colorful murals.
Alex’s heritage is Scottish, so he opted to wear a Scottish kilt with a green and blue tartan for his groom attire. Amanda opted for a gown with a blush liner under sweet swiss dot lace.
Her brother and sister are very talented, with small businesses in the area for cookie design and hand lettering. Thus all the professionally made sugar cookies that served as guest favors and all the signage was done by her siblings.
Sally Oakley Weddings and Events made sure the evening went smoothly! The reception included a mimosa bar to go with their “breakfast for dinner” menu – they had some of the best Belgium waffles and Shrimp n Grits, by Catering Works, anyone had ever tasted!”
